I have moderate dark circles because of my nature of work and they get darker sometimes if I get less sleep or work more on my computer. I have struggled a lot to figure out ways and products to hide my dark circles. If not concealed correctly, dark circles can make your under eye area look grey which is horrible. Everyone uses different products and techniques to conceal darkness under the eyes and so do I. Some makeup artist suggests concealing before foundation and some after. I prefer to conceal my under eye dark circles after I do my foundation because foundation itself does a bit of concealing but if you are working with very dark under eyes then only concealing is not going to work and you need to correct the dark part first.
If you have intense dark circles, you would need to use extra products for correcting them as well. I will be doing a separate post on correcting products and techniques in future but my this post is all about How to Hide Dark Circles.
I have made a quick video tutorial to show you guys how I conceal and hide my dark circles.
- As I mentioned, I do my foundation first. I applied my Mac STUDIO FIX FLUID SPF 15 foundation with a concealer brush all over my under eye area. After applying foundation, I blended it with my beauty blender.
- For concealer, I used Maybelline Fit Me concealer, it is one of my favorite concealers. Again blended it with the help of beauty blender.
- Lastly, the most important part is setting your concealer with a powder, here I have used Anastasia Beverly Hills Banana Powder with my Elf Small tapered brush.
So this is I work to hide my dark circles but this is not the only way to do so, there are different techniques and products used to hide dark circles of different intensities. I will be doing more tutorials and post about other techniques as well. I hope you find this post helpful 🙂
