ABH launched her first line lipstick in the beginning of year 2015 in form of liquid lipsticks. After that she further expanded with the launch of her lip glosses.
I ordered only 2 shades of these liquid lipsticks: Retro Coral and Pure Hollywood. The main reason for getting Pure Hollywood was its raving by various makeup artists on social media and also because of my love for nudes: D
Initially 20 shades were launched and still they are coming up with new shades. Retro Coral is a Pink Coral color and Pure Hollywood is brown nude.
After the huge success of Anastasia Beverly Hills brow products and contour kits, I had very hug expectations from their new lipstick venture.
It doesn’t have any scent in it. The consistence is not very thick and is creamy. I found Retro coral to be thinner than Pure Hollywood and I guess other colors would also have difference in consistency.
Application is not as smooth as I expected it to be. Since these are thin in consistency it gets little bit difficult. Retro Coral requires multiple strokes to achieve full coverage and applies unevenly. This is not the case with Pure Hollywood which applies satisfactorily in one stroke.
It doesn’t dry really fast and takes about 30 to 40 seconds to dry completely which is good for those of you who need time in applying liquid lipstick. A down side of it is that it can easily get spoiled if it doesn’t dry in desirable time.
It lasts 5 to 6 hours and the color stays the same but when I ate and drank while wearing Retro Coral, it vanished from half of my lips and stayed in the corner only which was a bit disappointing to me but this did not happened with Pure Hollywood.
All in all I liked Pure Hollywood more than Retro Coral.
