Mac’s color wheel is can be very confusing for people who are new to Mac, at least it was confusing for me. They basically categorize their shading system into two different lines NC (Neutral Cool) and NW (Neutral warm)
You would think that NW would be for Warmer skin tones and NC would be for cooler skin tones but it is the other way around. According to Mac NC is meant for Warmer skin tones and NW is meant for cooler skin tones. If you have a neutral skin tone then you’ll have to do some struggle by mixing NC and NW to get your perfect match.
NW – Neutral Warm = Cool, Pinkish Skin tone
NC- Neutral Cool = Warm, yellow beige Skin tone
