Bridal Couture Week 2014 Day 1

Bridal couture week is the most awaited fashion event of the year and this year the three day event Bridal Couture Week 2014 is taking place in Lahore at Faletti’s Hotel. The event started with showcase of most fashionable and trendy bridal designs by tenanted Pakistani designers. This fashion event was managed by HUM Network Ltd. in collaboration with Telenor.

Seven designers who showcased on day one are:

  • Zahid Khan (Kuki Concepts)
  • Ali Xeeshan
  • Fozia Hammad
  • Tena Durrani
  • Maria B
  • Ziggi Menswear
  • Faraz Manan

The First day of this mega fashion event started with a tribute to bride, traditions, customs and values of the east by the tenanted Zahid Khan of Kuki Concepts. His collection for the event was Parisa

Next collection Daastan was by the talented Ali Zeeshan. His Collection was inspired by the movie Mughal-e-Azam. Palette, cuts, silhouettes, fabrics and rich embellishments used in this collection paid tribute to the golden era of the Mughal Empire. This collection was presented by Q Mobile.

Fozia Hammad showcased her collection called Laila-e-Lahore, a tribute to the Mughal City of Gardens (Lahore).

Show one of day one ended with Tena Durrani’s collection called Perenia Progressive which was a tribute to contemporary bride

The first collection of show two of day one was Rose Garden by Maria B. Her collection was inspired by 18th centure France.

Ziggi Menswear, the first ever UK brand to participate in the Bridal Couture Week, presented their 2015 collection, Musafir. Musafir was a combination of traditional embroidery methods such as beads, zardosi, dabka, kora, arri work, pita work, velvet appliqués, and the best of traditional English tailoring.   Ziggi Menswear’s sister concern, Mehzabeen, also showcased their capsule collection, Gulnari. This collection was all about grace and elegance.

The last designer of the evening was Faraz Manan. His collection was a tribute to Lahore and what it entails…culture, tradition, festivities, heritage and hospitality.

The first day of Telenor Bridal Couture Week 2014 day 1 was full glam and presented Pakistan’s most talented and aspiring designers.
